Size

I2,00 sq. km.

Location

Between Iringa and Morogoro regions in the South-Central Tanzania. The park is about 10 km South west of Mikumi National Park.

 

Attractions

Bio-diversity and Unique rain forest eg. Tiny Africa Violet. Iringa red Colobus monkey, and the Sanje Crested Mangabey, Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Leopard, and wild dog, rare species of wild birds etc.

Size

1990 sq kms (about 1240 sq miles).

Location

5 hours (348 km, about 215 miles) from Dar es Salaam; 65 kms (about 40 miles) southwest of Mikumi.

Getting there

Drive from Dar es Salaam or Mikumi National Park. From a 2 hour hike to the waterfall to camping safaris. Combine with nearly Mikumi or en route to Ruaha.

Best time

Possible year round although slippery in the wet. The dry season is June-October before the short rains but be prepared for rain anytime.

ACCOMMODATION

Camping inside the park. Bring all food andsupplies. Accommodation just outside the park entrance.
