VUMA HILL TENTED CAMP
Vuma in Swahili means
"a good rumour that is spread with the blowing wind" of Mikumi National
Park, just a mere 4 hours drive hillside Dar es Salaam. It is an excellent place
to get away from the city and into the bush, settle down for a sunset drink in
the Open air bar or restaurant, star gaze on the 360o viewpoint, cool off in the
crystal clear pool or quietly relax in your luxury tent. The park entrance is
just 15-minute drive through the forest. A guard is always around to protect you
and to see to your enjoyment of the wildlife. | TANZANIA'S
DRAGON GROUP'S ACCOMMODATION
KIKOBOGA
Close to the main
entrance to Mikumi National Park, Kikobonga has been developed from a simple camp
to a comfortable and delightful 'base in the bush' from which to enjoy the spectacular
game and abundant bird life. The twelve stone-built bandas provide spacious, en-suite
accommodation with verandahs overlooking the plains and nearby water holes. The
bands have the added advantage of an additional guest room which makes them particularly
suitable for families or groups of friends. Kikoboga has a swimming pool and sun-deck
area, perfect for relaxing between game drives, and a raised look-out tower gives
visitors a bird's eye view of the surrounding plains. The bar is one of the camp's
main features, being constructed around the trunk of a huge, indigenous shade
tree, whilst dining at Kikoboga is in the rondavel-style dining room; on the terrace
overlooking the water hole; or in the boma barbecue area under the stars. Kioboga
is ideally placed for onward travel to Ruaha National Park or the Selous Game
Reserve.
BEHO BEHO Recognised as the
ultimate location for visitors to the Selous Game Reserve, Beho Beho is an oasis

feast, with breakfast at one of the many lookout points, lunch on the move or

as idyllic. Exploring from Beho Beho offers a unique opportunity to see wildlife
totally undisturbed by other explorers, photographers and wildlife observers,
This can be done on foot, escorted by an armed guide; b y vehicle; or by boat
on Lake Tangalala.
