National
Museum Originally built in 1940 by the British as King George V Memorial
Museum, with the new building added in 1963. The Museum houses exhibits on the
history of Tanzania, marine biology and ethnograph. It also includes the skull
of Australopithecus Boisei found in 1959 in Olduvai Gorge by the late Dr. Leakey.
